A prosthodontist is a qualified dental surgeon who has undergone at least 3 years of extra full-time postgraduate training. It is a recognised speciality in the UK and USA. Prosthodontists are the only specialists that are sufficiently trained to carry out complex full mouth reconstructions involving either teeth or implants.
